The main objective of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) in Tourism Systems and Hospitality Management (Tour_Hosp_Man) is to encourage the development of a new, innovative, high-level integrated transnational study programme at master’s level in the field of Tourism Economics and Hospitality Management.

It is a fully integrated two-year joint European programme promoted and tailor-made by three university partners whose expertise fit and complement each other: UNIPA, known for its research and pursuit of teaching excellence in tourism systems management and tourism policy design; UNIDU, internationally recognised for its research and education in the field of business economics and sustainable tourism development; and UMA, renowned for its excellence in destination management and regional tourism development.

Aspect of the programme

The innovative aspects of the programme are the specialisations provided by the multiple degree released by the three partners. The programme can absolutely provide an added value by giving expertise in Tourism Economics and Hospitality Management and by training professionals in relevant areas of increasing demand:
  1. Experts in planning, management and marketing of sustainable territorial tourism systems
  2. Experts in the organisation, management and marketing of events
  3. Experts in the planning and marketing of local tourism products and sustainable tourism
  4. Experts in territorial economic analysis and in tourism marketing research
  5. Experts in food and beverage and rural tourism
